Areas of Responsibility

The Office of the Controller serves the University community in achieving its primary purpose of instruction, research and public service. It strives for open and honest communication, respects others values and viewpoints and works cooperatively in a diverse, multi-cultural environment. The Office of the Controller is charged with the responsibility to define, document, implement and communicate fiscal policy, account for financial resources and to issue financial reports. The Office attempts to meet accountability requirements while remaining responsive to the needs of students, faculty and staff at UWM. The Controller's staff is committed to satisfying our customers' needs with quality service.

The Controller's Office is responsible for the following functions:
