In-State Car Rental FAQ: 1. Will I be using a different car rental company? A: Enterprise Car Rental is still the states contracted vendor for all rentals originating within the State of Wisconsin that are 29 days or less in length. Please note that if you need a vehicle for 30 days or more, you must use the vehicle lease contract, not the rental contract. Contact the Purchasing Department to set up use of such a contract. 2: Will everything remain the same with the car rental reservations? A: While there will be no change to rates, there are new procedures to follow: You must show your state photo ID when you pick-up the car and/or sign the rental agreement. If you dont have a state ID, you must bring a purchasing card, a travel card, or a letter on official UWM letterhead authorizing the rental at the states contracted rate. If you cannot provide one of these identification documents, you will not be able to secure the states contracted rates from the car rental company. Effective October 17, 2005, employees must use the states Purchasing Card for payment. Employees have the option of using the states Travel Card. Purchase orders, direct bills and personal credit cards will not be used after October 16, 2005. Other policy information that may serve as a reminder to you: You cannot use the states contract for your personal business. These contracts will only be used while an employee is in official travel status. Also, you may only rent a vehicle larger than an economy-size car if there are three or more travelers or if you are carrying additional equipment. Out-of-State Car Rental FAQ: 1.
